SOPIX® 2 is Acteon's flagship digital intraoral sensor, combining CMOS imaging with a CSI scintillator and an optic-fiber bundle for crisp, high-contrast dental radiographs. Resolution is real > 18 lp/mm (theoretical 25 lp/mm) and pixel pitch is 20 × 20 µm, with USB 2.0 connectivity (3.7 m cable, extendable to 8.7 m via supplied booster). The ACE — Automatic Controlled Exposure — feature monitors exposure in real time and halts image acquisition the moment sufficient diagnostic data is captured, minimizing patient dose without sacrificing image quality. Rounded corners and side stripes on the sensor housing aid intraoral placement. Available in Size 1 (active surface 600 mm², 20 × 30 mm, ~1.5 Mpx) and Size 2. Driven by Sopro Imaging software, compatible with Mac and Windows.
