Acteon's Newtron® / Suprasson® ultrasonic tips are calibrated piezo inserts that fit Newtron and Suprasson generators for scaling, periodontal therapy, prophylaxis and conservative dentistry. Linear, axial micro-oscillations are transmitted from the handpiece to the tip, with the active working area concentrated on the distal 2–3 mm — preserving feel during contact with the tooth surface while delivering precise calculus, plaque and biofilm removal. Acteon was the first manufacturer to produce ultrasonic tips with internal coolant spray, diamond-coated tips and pure-titanium tips for implant maintenance. The Newtron range covers supragingival scaling (1S, N1, 2, 3 family), interproximal cleaning (10P, 10Z, 10X), periodontal pocket debridement (PH/URM perio range), and stain removal — with each code engineered for a specific clinical role and pocket morphology.
